Since 1948 the Smithtown College Scholarship Committee—a committee of educators and community volunteers—has been helping Smithtown students finance their college or vocational education. To date, more than 700 students have received help from the fund.

Any Smithtown High School senior is eligible to apply. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic performance, school and community involvement, realistic career goals, and need. In recent years, we have been able to award 14 $2,000 scholarships each year.

The Smithtown College Scholarship Committee is an entirely volunteer organization; we have no paid staff and no permanent offices. The committee sponsors a series of fundraising events throughout the year, the highlight of which is the Gala Concert at Smithtown High School. We also receive business and community support through advertising in our concert journal, raffle donations, donations of services, and corporate and business underwriting of scholarships.

For over fifty years we have helped Smithtown students reach their goals—you can work with us to continue that tradition.
